Update through pictures

I've been busy lately, which is good.  I'm slowly, but surely building up my portfolio and my client base each and every day.  Yesterday I actually got 2 referrals, so yay for referrals!

I figured I would sum up what I've been doing this past month through photos.

This is the large canvas I sold after posting this pic to Facebook of the Minneapolis skyline over Lake Calhoun.  I took this while on our CF walk on May 7th.  My cousin bought it for his daughter and I cannot wait to see it up on her wall.  He said they had been looking for something exactly like this since Christmas and couldn't find one, so I was so delighted they loved this shot I took and wanted it in a large 29x44 canvas.  I'm still debating which canvases I'll be ordering next and this might be one of them.

I recently had a photo session with my Great-Niece.  She is so darn funny and at the age I love the most, 10 months.  This was the perfect session for adding to my portfolio.  It was a bit tricky having Kyle here while taking them, but luckily my nephew was here to keep Kyle busy playing blocks on our living floor while Nylah, her mom and I could get these done.  I might have to start finding a babysitter for Kyle for my week-day sessions!

Over Memorial Day weekend we decided to bring Kyle to the MN Zoo.  We didn't have the greatest weather as it ended up being cloudy and chilly and then started raining as we left, but I still managed to get some great shots in.  Next time we go to the zoo, though, we'll be putting Kyle on a leash...literally. :)  He was very antsy and just wanted to run all over the place leaving poor Chris to wrangle him in so I could take pictures, but we still had fun!

And last, but not least.  I finally got around to taking some pics of me and Kyle together.  A rarity, but definitely overdue!  It was a nice, warm and breezy Spring morning so I broke out the tripod and went to work.  I absolutely love these and Kyle was so happy about finally being able to pose with mom for a change.  And I'm sure he liked having me on this side of the camera much better.
