18 Month Check Up

Kyle had his 18 month check up on Wedensday and everything looks good, once again!

He's at 22lbs 8oz, which for his height puts him in the 75th percentile for BMI.  Both Sally, our RSV nurse that comes to our house, and Tammi, his pedi, were thrilled with his weight.  I still believe this is due to his super-milk I make for him at each meal - whole milk, heavy whipping cream, strawberry syrup and instant carnation breakfast.  I've had a little taste, and it is yummy!

Kyle had a bit of a set back with eating and sleeping on Sunday and Monday night.  For some reason he was refusing to eat dinner, which meant he went to bed hungry, which menat he didn't sleep well.  He ended up coming into bed with me those night and I don't think either of us slept well at all.

I talked about this with Tammi and she suggested instead of bringing him into bed with me, to bring a pillow and blanket and lay down on his floor next to his crib.  So, last night after Kyle woke up at 3:00am screaming, I took a pillow and blanket and did just that.  And, it worked!  He fell back to sleep within about 10 minutes and then I snuck out and went back to my bed and we all slept until after 7:00 am.

This is definitely a win-win-win for everyone in our house!  Kyle gets to stay in his own bed, and so do Chris and I. :)  I was feeling so guitly for Chris having to move to the couch on those nights I brought Kyle into bed with me, so this is a much better solution.

I have been so thrilled with Tammi over the course of Kyle's care with her.  She is so right on about everything we've been through with Kyle and I've grown to really trust her and depend on her insight.  Love her!

And on a sidenote...I have officially become a dot com. :)

Alicea Rose Photography is up and running!  I even have a Maternity session booked in May for an old friend that is due with her first baby in June.  I am super excited and a bit nervous, but have high hopes for this!

Wish me luck. ;)
